The Planning phase aims at creating an evaluation model of the skills to be experimented, starting from the experiences and information gathered during the Research phase. The model shall: foster a true collection of experiences, qualifications and, more generally, of the skills possessed by migrants; include the structure of the final document with instructions on how to fill it in, in order to make it as understandable as possible by the migrants, as well as by operators and companies of the host nation; promote the acceptance of the need to change their professional goals and redesign their careers, in such a way to allow its validity within the new context the migrant has to face.

The Planning phase consists of two activities. The first is a special workshop at the Università Cattolica, which brings together researchers, consultants of the Participating foreign parties and representatives of Italian partner organizations in charge of the experimentation. The workshop, which has a predominantly participatory character, represents a valuable and irreplaceable opportunity to share skills and co-build the intervention model. The second activity is the development of a manual by the researchers, which includes an initial part of theoretical study on topics related to career counselling and cross-cultural counselling. This will be then followed by a second part containing the detailed descriptions of meetings for the skills evaluation, which will be experienced by operators in the following phase: Experimentation.
